Last thursday through saturday was Way out west festival and David and I was there. This is the best thing of the year for me because they almost always seem to get all my favourite bands and artists. This year was a really good one.
I didn't get photos of all the acts we saw but here is a little glimpse into the festival through my camera.
Florence and the machine! So so so amazing!
David found a chair!
Feist!! She is so incredibly cool. I'm a little bit in love with her.
And Jeff Tweedy from Wilco came and sang a duet with her!
First act on saturday was Jonathan Richman. I love him so much. I've seen him once before and one of the amazing things about him is how dorky and happy he is all the time. The sweetest man ever!
Excuse the fuzzy picture but I just had to show you his sweet dance moves!
And this is how happy and thankful he was when it was time for him to leave the stage.
For you who doesn't know who he is: have you seen the movie There's something about Mary? He's the singer following the protaganist around all the time. And here you can listen to one of my favourite songs with Jonathan.
Listen to all of it and smile.
Miike Snow behind there.
Then it was time to put on the 3D glasses! An entire audience of pretty nerds. Lovely!
Kraftwerk!
We almost panicked for a while, it was so much people! Didn't see a thing and had to squeeze ourselves to the far back where we actually could see a whole lot better.
Then it was time to go home and I'm sure I slept with a big happy smile on my lips.
One year until next time. Can't wait!
One evening a few months ago I decided I wanted to make something extra fancy. A necklace larger than any other necklace I've ever made. It was going to be spectacular, I said to myself.
Many nights later I was kind of pissed at myself for committing to such a large project but I kept on working and working and repeting over and over again "this is going to be my most pricey necklace ever, who will afford it? The Sultan of some far away country? Well I don't care I have to finish it!"
And I did.
Model: Hanna Johansson.
The necklace will be listed in my shop in a few days for the price of $169 (1100 kr).

I sure won't make a lot of these babies but if you are interested in something similar I do take custom orders. But order early because they do take a lot of time to make.

Now I'm off to my second job but check back later today because I will show you all about my weekend at the Way out west festival!

I went to visit my sister and niece a couple of days.
This is Hilda. She's a cutie pie.
We went to the wading pool and Hilda thought the water was cold but the girl with the plastic crocodile was cool.
Auntie Lotta and Hilda playing with the phone. Hilda was mesmerized.
Yesterday I went back home to Gothenburg again after some lovely days with these two sweeties.

Tomorrow is the first day of Way out west and I have been looking forward to this since last years festival. So many good bands and artists!! I'm sure I will have lots to show you.

Bye for now!

The other day I got to go to the zoo with my job. Isn't that the definition of a really good job!?
I was looking forward to seeing the racoons as they are my favourites but apparently they were shy today and only showed me their backside. (Not like last time I was there when they were all over the place) I was a bit dissapointed about that but I got to see lots of other amazing animals so I was happy anyway.
The savanna is the most beautiful part of the zoo in my opinion. It's so amazing to see all the different animals together like that. And they seem so happy. I hope they are!
Spot the bears!
Flamingos!
This is such a gorgeous animal! Love how the stripes of the antilope are so sharp and bright.
My favourites of the day must have been these monkeys sitting in a line cuddling. If you look closely you can actually see a tiny arm in the middle that doesn't seem to belong to anyone. It's a baby squeezed betweeen the two larger ones! My heart almost melted and I could have stood there looking at them for hours, I think.

If you want to you can check out my tag for the zoo Borås Djurpark to see more pictures from my last visit there. My favourite is the post with the Monkey and the baby human. It always cracks me up.
