It was a great day for some thrifting!

Igår åkte vi till Slottsskogsvallen på Bagageluckeloppis. Hade inte så mycket pengar i plånboken men det är ju det som är det fina med loppis; Shoppa loss för liten slant. Jag hittade bland annat en så himla fin svart sammetscape som jag betalade ynka 30 kr för. Ibland blir jag så himla nöjd med mig själv.
Yesterday David and I went to a fleamarket that takes place almost every weekend during the summer months. This was the first weekend for the season. I didn't have that much money on me but that really doesn't matter when you are thrifting. Lots of shopping for almost no money!
Among other things I bought a lovely black velvet cape for only $4.30! Sometimes I get really pleased with myself and my thrifting skills.

Igår stod jag och smyckena på Överåsfestivalen. Villa Överås är verkligen en fantastisk byggnad. Drabbades av dåndimpar stup i kvarten.
Tyvärr verkade inte informationen gått ut så bra för det var knappt nåt folk där. Så väldigt väldigt synd för oj vilket fint evenemang det var! Nästa år hoppas jag att det kryllar av folk där för det förtjänar de verkligen.

Yesterday I attended the design fair att the amazing Villa Överås. That house is just too beautiful for words!
The festival was really nice, sadly there was not much people there. It's such a lovely place for a design fair so i really hope it gets more visitors next year.

På lördagar kommer ju ingen post säger ni? JO! På lottalosten.com gör det det.
Ni som följt mig ett tag vet ju att jag älskar Trädgårdsföreningen. En så härlig park mitt i stan med ett finfint trädgårdsfik att spendera timmar på.
Pratade med David igår om att det var länge sedan vi gick dit nu, han och jag. Sist vi var där tillsammans var det färgsprakande höst.
Jag tycker man kan läsa ut ganska mycket av fotot ovan. Den ensamme unge mannen som nästan flyter in i omgivningarna. Väntar han på någon kanske? Är det en studentmössa på hans huvud? De två herrarna till vänster med sänkta huvuden och svarta hattar. Vad pratar de om? Har de förlorat en gemensam vän? Och vad händer egentligen i det runda huset nere i högra hörnet? Är det en orkester som förbereder sig?
Och längs med parken sitter eftermiddagsslöa människor och njuter av sol och ledighet.
Parker om våren och sommaren, något av det bästa med att bo i en stad.

This weeks postcard is an old photo from the park Trädgårdsföreningen ("The garden society") here in Gothenburg. It's located in the middle of the city but lies behind fences and bushes so people tend to not think about it.
They have a lovely café in the rosegarden and I really love to spend hours there with a friend and then stroll around the park.
I said to David yesterday that it's been a long time since we went there together. I've been there with friends but the last time David and I were there was last autumn.
I love this postcard because there's so much going on. The boy in the middle standing alone looking like he's waiting for someone, the two older men with black hats and lowered heads. Have they lost a friend? Is it an orchestra rehearsing in the lower right corner?
An then it's all the people sitting on benches all around the park simply enjoying the lazy afternoon.
Parks in spring and summertime is one of the reasons I love living in a city.

Igår var en skön dag som började med lite jobb vid datorn fortsatte sedan med en tur på Olskrokstorget för att handla ost och frukt. När David köpte läsk passade jag på att beundra blommorna. Det känns som att jag har missat hur våren kom eftersom det varit så mycket jobb med hemsidan. Svårt att begripa att det är löv på träden nu liksom.
Kom hem och åt indisk mat på balkongen med utsikt över grönfluffiga trädkronor och sedan avslutades kvällen med smyckesjobb i soffan framför en halvtaskig romantisk komedi. Firade också nypremiären av lottalosten.com med en särdeles god ostbricka som snabbt försvann ner i magen.
Idag förbereder jag mig för morgondagens marknad. Vi ses väl där?

Yesterday was one of those calm but productive days. Blog and photo job in front of the computer before we went out in the early summer to buy some cheese and fruit. Smelled (and photographed) the flowers and went home and ate indian food on the balcony. All the trees are green and fluffy now and I really don't know how that happened. I have been working hard on the homepage days and nights and it feels like I've missed out on the first days of spring. From now on it's me and springtime, ok!?
In the evening I stationed myself in the couch with some jewelry work and a not so good romantic comedy and celebrated the re-launch of lottalosten.com with a lovely cheeseplatter.
Today is all about preparing for tomorrows market.

There aren't many flea markets where I live (North Dakota), but I'm hoping to do a little traveling this summer and visit lots of them. Maybe I'll even find something that will put that phone to shame :)
I actually didn't buy the phone. I had no money left when I saw it and I had to leave it there. :-(

We've got quite a lot flea markets in Sweden actually and Gothenburg during spring and summer is a great city for thrifting at different flea markets!
